Division Responsibilities
Parker County Communications receives both emergency and non-emergency calls and dispatches all requests for police, fire, and emergency medical services as required. Communicators also answers four 911 lines, dispatches for 22 volunteer fire departments, and provides dispatching support and services for Parker County Sheriff’s Office and multiple outside agencies. Additionally, communicators enter information into the Texas Crime Information Center (TCIC) / National Crime Information Center (NCIC) regarding stolen property and missing persons for several agencies, and also routinely maintain and update various logs, files, and computer data files.
