Jail
Jail Entrance.pngWhile the jail is the constitutional responsibility of the sheriff, its daily operations are managed by Community Education Centers (CEC). Since taking over jail operation duties in 2007, CEC has saved the taxpayers of Parker County countless dollars with their efficient management system. CEC continues as a partner with Parker County at promoting their motto, “Breaking the cycle of recidivism while focusing on respect and dignity to each and every person in our custody and care”.

Location
The Parker County Jail is currently located at 612 Jameson Street and the main entrance is located at the corner of Jameson Street and North Mill Street, opposite the Sheriff’s Office entrance.

Employment
Access the Community Education Centers website to find information regarding employment opportunities at the jail.

Inmate Commissary
Commissary is subcontracted out to LoneStar Commissary. Offenders are allowed to make weekly purchases up to $200.

If you wish to send money in to an inmate for their commissary purchases, you can drop off a cashier’s check or money order to the visitation officer during visitation hours or mail one into the facility. The cashier’s check or money order must be in the name of “C/O Inmate Trust Fund” and then the inmates name.

Meals

Offenders are served three hot meals per day, with a minimum of 3,000 calories per offender per day. Special diets are provided as required either medically or religiously.

Medical and Mental Health
Medical physician services are contracted and an on site infirmary is provided and staffed 24 hours a day by medical care professionals. The CEC medical staff consists of one registered nurse, five licensed vocational nurses, and one medical clerk. The jail facility is ADA compliant and is located within five minutes or 2.5 miles from the Weatherford Regional Hospital.

Mental health services are provided by the Pecan Valley Centers for Behavioral and Developmental Healthcare.
