SUMMARY OF COMMISSIONERS COURT MEETING - APRIL 25, 2016

• Parker County granted permission to the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce for use of the Community Room in the county’s Downtown Annex for Peach Festival, continuing a long standing tie between the Peach Festival and the old First Financial Bank Building, which the county has purchased.

• Heard presentation from Judge Riley on the East Loop Interchange that included the information that TxDOT will oversee the construction of the East Loop Interchange and pay for any overages.

• Took no action regarding the hiring of a planning consultant for Parker County building space.

• Approved all other Purchasing items.

• Heard presentation from City of Weatherford regarding the creation of a Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone and approved putting the item on the next Commissioners Court agenda.

• Approved all plats other than item 5 E, the final plat for a subdivision to be known as El Dorado Addition located on Grindstone Road in Precinct 3.

• Heard report from Judge Riley regarding accumulated employee compensatory time and adopted a policy that requires all straight time that is accumulated to be used in 60 days from April 25, 2016.

• Approved all election contracts.

• Accepted donation of a county clerk’s record book dating back to the 1800’s.

• Accepted donation of $25 to the Sheriff’s Office.

• Approved Precinct 3 declaring metal as surplus.

• Approved Precinct 3 declaring waste dirt from ditches as salvage.

• Approved Precinct 2 to surplus and sell for scrap, used oil and mixed scrap metal from county clean-up.

• Held a public hearing and approved installing a stop sign on Laurie Lane at the intersection of Allison Road in Precinct 1.

• Accepted into the minutes the executed Vending Services Contract.

• Approved all consent items.
