• Parker County Commissioners Court heard from Elections Administrator Don Markum in regards to what was described as an overwhelming success, that being the March 1, 2016 Primary Election. Voter turnout was high with voters now able to vote at any polling location due to the new county wide polling sites. Markum said over a third of the county’s registered voters took the opportunity to vote outside of their normal voting location.

• Declared the week of April 10-16 as National Crime Victims Rights Week, which includes the County Attorney’s Offices 8th annual Art Contest with art work from various Parker County students displayed at the Parker County Courthouse Annex on Santa Fe Dr. in Weatherford during the designated week. Winners will be awarded scholarships to Weatherford College.

• Gave notice that Precinct 3 will be working on private property at 4760 Greenwood Road to improve drainage.

• Approved the preliminary plat for a subdivision to be known as El Dorado Addition located on Grindstone Road in Precinct 3.

• Approved the preliminary plat for a subdivision to be known as P&P Subdivision located on FM 1189 in Precinct 3.

• Approved the preliminary plat for a subdivision to be known as Z&Z Acres located on Russell Lane in Precinct 3.

• Began the revision of Lot 34 in a subdivision known as Blue Ridge Estates, located on Blue Ridge Drive in Precinct 2.

• Began the revision of Lots 19-21 in Heritage Meadows, Phase 1, located on Eagle Moore Lane, a private road in Precinct 3.

• Approved the final plat for a subdivision known as Heritage Springs, located on Taylor Road in Precinct 3.

• Approved communications system agreement for Mutual Aid with TXDPS and EOC.

• Appointed Damon Liles, Bryce Heath and Laurie Chance Smith to the Parker County Historical Commission.

• Began process for abandonment of property located at 224 Walden Road in Precinct 3.

• Authorized a security deputy to stay after 5 p.m. at Courthouse Annex on April 15, 2016 for art contest.

• Approved application for the Texas Facilities Commission Federal Surplus Property Program.

• Approved order for disposition of remains by cremation of a pauper and authorized payment of $950.00 to Whites Funeral Home.

• Waived posting for Assistant County Attorney position.

• Approved installation of a stop sign on Laurie Lane at the intersection of Allison Road in Precinct 1.

• Accepted into the minutes the racial profiling reports for Constable Precinct 2.

• Accepted into the minutes the executed contract documents for the Greenwood Traffic Signal.

• Approved amendment #5 to the Transportation Bond Program Discretionary Funds Project List for Precinct 2.

• Authorized condemnation proceedings to begin for parcel 23 for the East Interchange if the property owner refuses the final offer previously approved by Commissioners Court.
